Cash Manager

Description of Position

This person will be responsible for managing cash for a $110MM company that isgrowing by 40% annually. This position reports directly to the CFO and will require working closely with the Company’s banks, credit card processors and the store managers. Attention to details and strong communication skills is a must.

  • Monitor bank balances, maintain and reconcile bank accounts; develop and implement appropriate controls.
  • Manage the day-to-day cash operations including; determining the cash position and taking appropriate actions as necessary to meet obligations and fund cash needs.
  • Monitor loans and SWAP agreements and ensure the proper amount of interest and principal is drawn by the bank.
  • Post cash journal entries, prepare monthly activity downloads.
  • Reconcile and post credit card activity and follow up on disputed charges.
  • Ensure credit card processors are charging the appropriate rates and that the 
  • Company is getting the best rates possible.
  • Insure that stores are following proper cash handling procedures and maintain relationships with armored car services.
  • Working with various IT vendors to automate cash functions.
  • Develop cash forecasts/projections and perform financial modeling necessary to ensure optimal liquidity, compliance, budgeting and strategic planning.  
  • Supply detailed reporting and analysis to management as deemed necessary.
  • Research all potential fraud and theft incidences and take the appropriate action to prevent loss to the company.
  • Open accounts for new stores and train managers on proper cash handling procedures.
  • Make deposits and record receipt of payments on receivables.

qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years of overall experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Finance or specialized business banking functions
  • Ability to build effective working relationships throughout organizations
  • Team player, but with ability to be a self starter and to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Conveys a sense of urgency and projects a positive, proactive desire to support a broad range of initiatives.
  • Self-starter, highly-motivated, high-energy
