Description of Position

The Sales & Events Manager is a vital role to the success of Barteca.  This role entails continual guest outreach, conducting cold calls, receiving 4-wall referrals, responding to party inquiries, identifying local market events and promotions that directly align with the Barteca brand, as well as attending local networking events to further promote our restaurants and its private/semi-private capabilities. 

You should be a highly-motivated, sales-driven professional with 3-5+ years of recent special event sales or banquet experience in a high-end restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of the local market, an existing contact list and a proven track record of driving measurable sales growth is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Identifying local market events & promotions that directly align with our brand and getting Barcelona to participate here (on premise or offsite)
  • Attending local networking events to further promote our restaurant and its private / semi private capabilities (should be members of local young professional networks, chambers of commerce, etc.)
  • Booking / capturing any and all private dining or group dining inquiries and helping execute them on the restaurant level
  • Brand Ambassador – be the face of Barteca in the market 
  • Work closely with the marketing and PR department and help promote the restaurant effectively through any and all channels of social media 
  • Will also be responsible for all social media outreach in their market (Facebook, twitter, Instagram, etc.) Work with the Marketing team to create relevant collateral for any upcoming 
  • Be the liaison in helping build relationships with all local concierges in the areas, promote the restaurant using various collateral & referral programs

Reporting Structure

The Sales Manager will report to David Boyajian, Director of Operations Bartaco and Rikin Lakhani, VP of Operations Barcelona Wine Bar.
