Description of Position
Rumi’s Kitchen General Managers are responsible for creating “Guest for Life” experiences while achieving outstanding financial results. You are responsible for developing your managers and hourly employees into A players. You will be expected to execute to our standards and systems. Leaders will defend and champion our principles, values, vision, and culture. The position is responsible for the various tasks involved in the overall operation of the store, including maximizing sales/profitability by developing staff and controlling expenses.You are responsible for pursuing the highest standards, require solid product knowledge from your staff and yourself. . More specifically, the GM will be responsible for:
Operational Excellence:
Analyze all prime costs (i.e. labor, food/beverage, etc.) and creating systems to achieve consistency across the board.
Monitor all aspects of the business by using the various measurement and reporting tools available (Daily Sales Report, Guest Feedback, Labor and Food Cost tools), then using the data to coach and achieve establish goals.
Create systems for the organization to scale (i.e. training manuals/protocols, checklists, etc.).
Financial Performance:
Promote sales, manage expenses and cash handling systems required to achieve business budgets.
Human Resources:
Assist in recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations, employee relations and benefits.
Strategy:
Partner with ownership to develop key initiatives and company wide strategic direction.

5+ years in a similar high volume General Manager position
The successful candidate will be a natural leader whose strengths and style complement the existing team. S/he will be a respected employee of the highest integrity and a leader who can positively affect the culture, external image, and inspire performance.
Skilled at managing multiple priorities and projects, with a hands on, lead by example approach.
Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality.

Chef Ali Mesghali’s love of cooking began while growing up in Esfahan, Iran and Los Angeles, California. This interest grew to become a passion and a career after Ali moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In the kitchen, as well as in the dining room, Ali is known for his pursuit of perfection, his intensity and a love for what he does.
