Description of Position
Creating a rich environment that celebrates luxurious Latin American experiences for Team Members and Guests is the mission of our managers at Mexican Sugar. The Mexican Sugar Service Managers are relentlessly focused on cultivating a team and atmosphere that provide every Guest with a memorable experience that keeps them coming back for more. They aspire to run the perfect shift by preparing beforehand and executing with determination and drive. They know that the guest experience will never exceed that of their teams' experience. They prioritize their teams' training, coaching and development. A love of innovative Latin Inspired food, incredible small batch cocktails and the best Tequilas in the world are a plus. The ideal Service Manager has 2-3 years of high-volume sales and high-end restaurant experience; bi-lingual Spanish/English is a plus.
Key responsibilities and attributes include but are not limited to:
Own their designated Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and set standards of shift performance, oversee all AOR scheduling, training & development, one-on-ones, and specialized tasks, celebrating wins and redirecting results as needed
Participate in all manager meetings with AOR updates including hiring needs, team performance, wins, and opportunities for improvement
Engage guests to ensure a personal connection to Mexican Sugar and a top notch dining experience
Possess a near obsessive need to correct any mistakes or flaws in the guest experience, always personally handling any issues that arise
Ensure team members have the knowledge, tools and resources needed to be successful in their roles
Drive top line sales performance by delivering stellar experiences, community partnerships, and leadership throughout the restaurant
Control costs by managing controllable expenses using the systems put in place to successfully manage them
Ensure proper labor management through accurate schedule writing, adjusting weekly for changes in sales forecast, event knowledge and weather
Maintain a safe, well-manicured restaurant, as pristine and organized behind the scenes as it is for the guests

a high school degree or equivalent
bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related preferred
two+ years restaurant management experience with similar restaurant/volume
knowledge of Open Table or similar software preferred
proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/Office Suite preferred
knowledge of Hotschedules and/or Decision Logic a plus
