Description of Position

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this multi-state,multi-unit regional generalist position is responsible for employee relations, policy interpretation, staffing, recruiting, and succession planning. As a key business partner to the retail leadership team, the HR Manager will create and/or execute human resources initiatives and be an integral part of the team. More specifically, this person will be responsible for:

Functions/Responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the business within the company insure that HR programs add value to the business.
• Strong working knowledge and experience with applying, interpreting, and insuring compliance with state, local, and federal employment laws.
• Consult with line managers and employees on employee relation issues and problems to ensure that employees are fairly and equitably treated, to ensure legal guidelines are followed.
• Manage the recruiting process to insure that all management positions are staffed to the appropriate levels. Ensure that the on-boarding process is followed for all new
• Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, equivalent degree or equivalent related experience
• Knowledge and experience in employment law, practices, agencies (e.g. EEO, ADA, FMLA, DOL, OSHA, etc. . .)

Reporting Structure

The Manager of Human Resources will report to Kutina Ruhumbika, Director of Human Resources.

qualifications

• 3 - 5 years generalist Human Resources experience required in retail or restaurant business.
• High energy, flexible, willing to travel 25%
• Independent professional capable of forming relationships with diverse groups of people.
• Outstanding Interpersonal Skills.
• Outstanding Oral and Written Communications.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information and provide necessary follow-through.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• PHR certification preferred.
• Multi-unit, multi-state experience preferred.
• Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, coworkers, members, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.
• Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
• Passion for the concept, cuisine and success of the brand in the given market.
