Description of Position
The newly-created position of Construction Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the assisting the construction of the new locations. The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Vice President of Construction. Responsibilities will include tracking and administrating budgets, contracts, invoices, RFI’s, submittal, and drawing logs. The Project Coordinator will also participate in the ordering, scheduling, and tracking of owner supplied items. Additionally, this person will also work closely with the maintenance department coordinating construction related projects.

More specifically the Junior Architect will be responsible for:
- Process and administrate submittals and shop drawings
- Update project development schedules
- Administrate the purchase of Owner-Furnished items and vendors including producing quantity
- take-offs and purchase orders, scheduling and tracking deliveries.
- Assemble bid packages for General Contractor
- Assemble contracts for General Contractor
- Track invoicing and accounts payable
- Track and update budgets to reflect actual costs
- Track proposed change orders and change order requests
- Track RFI’s
- Follow up on Construction Change Notices and pricing
- Review and assemble Construction Change Notices pricing
- Produce and maintain drawing logs
- Maintain Project Files (electronic and hard copy)

Reporting Structure
The Junior Architect will report to the Vice President of Construction and work closely with Sasa Mahr-Batuz, Co-owner.

qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or relevant discipline.
- Between 1-3 years of commercial construction experience with an emphasis on restaurants, hospitality and/or office buildings. Our locations are constructed with custom and authentic materials which requires an extreme attention to detail at every level.
- Experience with design-driven construction with an attention to custom materials is essential.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- AutoCAD
- Experience using project management software (Sage, SharePoint and Viewpoint).
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Conveys a sense of urgency and projects a positive, proactive desire to support a broad range of initiatives.
- Self-starter, highly-motivated, high-energy
- Highly organized. Able to create and implement the systems and tools
- High degree of personal integrity and professionalism
