Director of Marketing - Barcelona Wine Bar
Dallas, TX

Barcelona Wine Bar is more than a place to eat, its a lifestyle brand that embodies warmth, connection, and community.
Description of Position
Driving strategic and creative marketing initiatives for a storied, yet growing, brand like Barcelona requires an unconventional approach. The marketing leader for Barcelona will understand the brand’s history, strengths, and opportunities. Candidates with leadership abilities rooted in out-of-the-box thinking—backed by an expert understanding of marketing fundamentals—will be successful in this role.
The next phase of brand-building will offer opportunity and challenges to a hungry marketer looking to grow, direct, and influence what’s ahead and, ultimately, the brand legacy.
● Further define and shape Barcelona’s brand identity—and fiercely protect it as the brand grows
● Be an omni-channel marketing visionary—tapped into like-minded aspirational companies, industry trends, innovations, and the competitive landscape
● Get work done—in managing and leading all brand marketing efforts within a roll-up-your-sleeves work environment, it’s critical for this leader to be both self-motivated and self-sufficient in driving a high volume of projects forward, and supporting team members in doing the same
● Lead & develop the execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy including, but not limited to: storytelling across platforms (every asset created is an opportunity to tell our brand story), social media campaigns & management, influencer & brand partnerships, website optimization, paid search & social, events, pillar marketing programs, and more
● Collaborate with all departments internally and hosts of vendors externally—internally, if you’re not serving a guest of our restaurants, you’re serving someone who is—or you’re collaborating with many other departments to ensure project plans are operationally sound (culinary, beverage, HR, etc.); we also work with PR, technology, and creative agencies as stewards of the brand
● Give back—help manage cause marketing and what that looks like on a larger scale for Barcelona in the future
● Coach and support our local field teams on engaging with the community, fostering impactful partnerships and lasting relationships that result in sustained, renewable guest traffic into our local neighborhood restaurants (we’re the anti-chain)
● Prove that marketing works—mine data, insights, and results to quantify and qualify the success of campaigns and projects driven by marketing
