Construction Project Manager

Description of Position

The newly-created position of Construction Project Manager will be responsible for assisting with the construction of the new locations.  The Project Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Construction.

  • Assist in value engineering the processes and methods used in constructing our
  • locations
  • Develop all construction budgets for all new and existing properties
  • Track all invoices, commitments and projections by location against approved budgets
  • Create and review all GC contracts, applications for payment, change orders and assist with RFI from the field
  • Interact and coordinate with cooperate staff, construction professionals and all vendors
  • to provide feedback that can be in order to constantly improve the construction

  • Interact with vendors to insure compliance to companies policies and code of ethics
  • Solicit proposals from vendors and contractors, review against company standards and submit for approval
  • Ensure the quality of materials and methods of vendors and suppliers
  • Work closely with our in-house Project Managers and our onsite General Contractor to ensure all parties have adequate information, documents and details to move the project forward
  • Research new products and methods and provide cost analysis
  • Develop and manage RFP's for professional services and Owner provided vendors
  • Develop and manage systems to standardize our build-outs (Builder's Book)
  • Develop and manage CD logs, SK logs and Procurement Logs
  • Procure materials, supplies and services at the lowest price possible
  • Help with creating bid estimates for complete costs-to- build
  • Collect bid packages then review, compare and quantify bidding subcontractors

Reporting Structure

The Project Manager will report to Stephen Gallant, Vice President of Construction and work closely with Sasa Mahr-Batuz, Co-owner.

qualifications

 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Procore, Google mail and services, spreadsheets, MS Schedule
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be self-motivated, meet deadlines, and have the ability to work well with our team
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to travel
  • 5-8yrs of experience with construction proposals, bidding,
  • Restaurant general contractor, retail construction or restaurant construction background preferred
  • A minimum of an Associates degree in architecture, construction or analytics preferred
  • High degree of personal integrity and professionalism
  • Comfort with uncertainty: we are a growing, entrepreneurial concept, with all the challenges and wonder
  • Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, coworkers, members, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.
  • Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
