Vice President of People

Position can be based in a bartaco market: CT; FL; GA; NC; VA

Description of Position

The VP of People for the Bartaco is responsible for creating and executing the organization's people strategy, driving employee engagement, and developing a culture of excellence within the restaurant industry. This role is responsible for building and leading a team of HR professionals, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and aligning the HR function with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a people strategy that aligns with business objectives and promotes a culture of excellence.

• Develop and execute talent management programs, including recruiting, onboarding, training and development, performance management, succession planning, and retention.

• Drive employee engagement through effective communication, recognition programs, and employee feedback mechanisms.

• Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and align with business objectives.

• Manage HR compliance and regulatory requirements, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other employment-related regulations.

• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency across the organization.

• Build and lead a team of HR professionals to deliver on the organization's people strategy.

• Partner with other members of the leadership team to drive business objectives and deliver results.

qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

• At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.

• Proven experience leading a team of HR professionals.

• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into HR strategies and tactics.

• Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence across all levels of the organization. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
